The Wu-Tang Clan Effect
New York’s favourite hip-hop ground, Wu-Tang Clan, is back in the news, with China creating a ruckus over Canadian T-shirts that bear an altered logo of the group. China’s Foreign Ministry came forward and mentioned that they don’t accept Canada’s explanation about the same, with the shirts not being an insult linked to the coronavirus. In its explanation, Canada’s Foreign Ministry said this week that the shirts using the “W” logo of the Wu-Tang Clan with the group’s name changed to “Wuhan” was not a planned move. As a result, they apologized later for the misunderstanding that it caused.

Morgan Wallen and ACM Awards
Morgan Wallen has recently been in the news for all the wrong reasons as TMZ released a recorded video of the singer yelling racial slurs, including the N-word. While the singer apologized for the same, he had to face backlash by being dropped from major award nominations. The Academy of Country Music barred the singer from involvement and eligibility in the upcoming awards. As a result, the singer won’t be allowed to appear on the show nor compete for any awards. Due to that, his nominations, including New Artist of the Year, will be dropped for good.
